This collection is inspired by my love for the Gulf Coast of N.W. Florida. The visual poetry of sand sea and sky is an ongoing affair and muse. It isn't only about the location it's more about the serenity it invokes. Once you've been captured by the magic it's a feeling you can recall no matter where you happen to be. I often listen to music when I'm painting and the music of Chopin captures the essence of the lightness of being I'm hoping is perceived. This collection of works is intended to be a symbolic representation of peace and quietude and the rhythm of sand sea sky.
This collection has a lot of texture with little blobs of paint and expressive brushwork as part of the layering that adds quiet drama and interest to the finished piece.
