Winter's chroma

about this series

I love the earthy colors of a Florida winter. The view from my studio is one with rolling open fields, pockets of dense forests and a few natural spring fed ponds in the lowlands. I tried to capture the essence of this beauty with this series. Earthy ochres, umbers, the muddy colors of green in vegetation past its prime. The pale slices of hazy sky visible through bare branches become the framework for an occasional burst of carmine and burgundy from leaves still holding on. This will be an ongoing and evolving series. Please check back often or subscribe to my email list for new work alerts.
